About Philipp Grubauer
Philipp Grubauer has played an important role as the first goaltender in team history for the expansion Seattle Kraken. Grubauer joined the Kraken after starring roles for both the Colorado Avalanche and Washington Capitals. He had a pristine final season for the Avs in 2021, going 30-9 with a 1.95 goals against average during the regular season. Grubauer also won ten straight games during the playoffs. He came over to Colorado from Washington in 2018. Grubauer was a part-time starter for the Caps during their 2018 Stanley Cup run. He was originally selected by the franchise in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and made his debut in the league in 2013.
