About Peyton Siva
Peyton Siva made his name as the point guard at the University of Louisville. With Siva running point, the Cardinals made it to back-to-back Final Fours and won a title in 2013. During both postseason runs, he was named the Big East Tournament MVP. Only Patrick Ewing has won that award twice. Siva is the Louisville all-time leader in steals. The Detroit Pistons drafted him in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft. Siva spent 24 games with the Pistons during his rookie season while also playing in the D-League. He is now on an affiliate contract through the Orlando Magic with the Erie BayHawks. Showing the maturity that makes him a success on the court, as a teen Siva talked his father out of suicide and continues to work to keep him sober. He has taken a leadership position in his own family as he tries to advance his own basketball career. Siva is a Seattle native who used sports to rise above his circumstance, earning a McDonald’s All-American selection and being named Washington’s Mr. Basketball at Franklin High School.
