About Pam McGee
Pamela McGee is a former professional women’s basketball player, widely known for her WNBA and UnitedStates National Team career. McGee was an All-American and a two time NCAA champion at theUniversity of Southern California, playing for the United States at the same time. Her national teamsuccess was immense, as she helped the United States to a gold medal at the Pan Americanchampionships, the Jones Cup, and the Olympics, along with a silver medal at the FIBA WorldChampionships. After playing internationally in Brazil, France, Italy, and Spain, McGee was draftedsecond overall in the 1997 WNBA Draft. Although she was 34 at the time, the Sacramento Monarchs feltthat she would bring in fans and help the team succeed. McGee only played two seasons in the WNBA,and is now an assistant coach for the Detroit Shock.
