About Ceal Barry
Ceal Barry attended the University of Kentucky where she lettered three times in field hockey and she had many accomplishments in basketball. Barry is the senior associate athletic director for internal operations at the University of Colorado. Prior to becoming the associate athletic director, Barry served as Coloradoâs womenâs basketball coach. Barry has spent 32 years at Colorado and her duties have included overlooking men and womenâs basketball, womenâs golf, soccer, tennis, cross-country/track & field and volleyball. Barry began her administrative chapter at Colorado on April 1, 2005 at the age of 59. During the 2010-11 season, Barry has served as the chair of the NCAA Division I Womenâs Basketball Issues Committee. Barry became the 24th coach in womenâs NCAA history to reach 500 career wins. Barry was named the Big Eight Coach of the Year four times and she was the District V Coach of the Year in 1993 and 1995.
