About Lisa Bluder
Lisa Bluder had an amazing coaching career spanning over two decades at Iowa. Her women's basketball teams made 18 NCAA Tournament appearances.
Bluder ended her career in a big way, leading the Hawkeyes to back-to-back national championship game appearances in 2023 and 2024 before retiring. Overall, her squads won the Big Ten regular season twice and the Big Ten Tournament on five occasions.
Bluder is a three-time Big Ten Coach of the Year and was named Naismith College Coach of the Year in 2019 after the Hawkeyes went to the Elite Eight. Bluder came to Iowa in 2000 after guiding Drake to four NCAA Tournament appearances. She got her first head coaching opportunity at St. Ambrose from 1984-1990, building them into an NAIA powerhouse.
