Lisa Bluder Biography

Lisa Bluder has had an amazing coaching career spanning over two decades at Iowa. Her women's basketball teams have made 17 NCAA Tournament appearances. She led her team all the way to the national championship game in 2023. Bluder's squads have won the Big Ten regular season twice and the Big Ten Tournament on four occasions. She is a three-time Big Ten Coach of the Year and was named Naismith College Coach of the Year in 2019 after the Hawkeyes went to the Elite Eight. Bluder came to Iowa in 2000 after guiding Drake to four NCAA Tournament appearances. She got her first head coaching opportunity at St. Ambrose from 1984-1990, building them into an NAIA powerhouse.
