About Nail Yakupov
Nail Yakupov is a professional hockey player in the National Hockey League as a right winger for the Edmonton Oilers. Prior to making it to the NHL, Nail began his playing career back in his native Russia in the junior program before making the move to North America in 2010. Once he arrived he joined the Sarnia Sting, a major junior team in the Ontario Hockey League. During this time he also competed in the World Junior Championships where he has taken home a bronze and silver medal. He quickly became a star of the team and led the team to successes in the two years he played with them before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft as the 1st overall selection in 2012. In his first two seasons in the league he racked up 28 goals, 27 assists, and 55 points in route to leading his team to successful seasons.
