About Andrew Shaw
Andrew Shaw is a rising center in the NHL for the Chicago Blackhawks. Shaw was integral in helping the Blackhawks win the 2013 Stanley Cup. He scored the game winner in triple overtime in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Boston Bruins. Shaw played in the series with a broken rib and had a memorable return from a facial injury in Game 6. Shaw auctioned off the stitches from that game and raised 6,500 dollars for The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Overall, he had nine points during those playoffs for Chicago. The following season, Shaw’s career took off. He had career highs in almost every statistical category during the 2013-14 season. Known for more than just goals and assists, Shaw is a physical competitor. He wears a rubber bracelet to honor local ironworkers back in his hometown of Belleville, Ontario. Shaw was drafted out of the Ontario Hockey League in the 5th round in 2011.
