About Mike Francesa
Mike Francesa is one of the most well known sports talk personalities in America. Francesa has rose to prominence as a host at WFAN in New York. He teamed with Chris Russo on “Mike & the Mad Dog” from 1989 to 2008 and it became the preeminent local sports radio show in the country. In 2000, they became the first sports duo to win a Marconi Award as the Major Market Personality of the Year. Currently, Francesa hosts “Mike’s On: Francesa on the FAN”. That show occupies the same afternoon drive slot on WFAN and is also simulcast on Fox Sports 1. Francesa won his second Marconi Award in 2012. The Long Beach, New York native started his media career at College and Pro Football Newsweekly. He would go on to work in the research department and then as an on-air analyst for CBS Sports.
