About Mike Day
Mike Day is a native of Tarzana, California and is considered to be one of the top current school BMX riders in the world. He began racing as a amateur in 1994 at the age of 10 on the Answer Race Team and has since raced for Staats Bicycles and GT Bicycles on the pro circuit. Day made a name for himself in 2008 when he earned a spot on the USA BMX Olympic Team b winning the Team Trial at the Olympic Training Center in his home state Chula Vista, California. After making it to the semifinals of the inaugural BMX team race competition at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games he captured a silver medal in the BMX Final and became the second American to ever medal in the Olympic BMX competition. His many accomplishments include winning two silver medals, a bronze medal and gold medal in the elite division of the Union Cyclists Interntionale Championships from 2004 to 2007.
