About Mike Breen
Mike Breen got his start in sports broadcasting in 1983 after earning his degree from Fordham University. His first ever assignment was as the play-by-play man for the Marist College Red Foxes basketball team in 1985. During his 19-year career as a play-by-play man he has worked as the lead broadcaster for NBC, ABC and ESPN, primarily announcing NBA, WNBA and college basketball games. He has spent the majority of his career as the play-by-play announcer for NBA on ABC, broadcasting NBA regular season and play off games. He has also lent his talents to calling games for NFL on Fox, NFL on NBC, college basketball games on ESPN and WNBA regular season and postseason games. He has also announced five Olympic games, including the 1996, 2000 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics and 2002 Winter Olympics. Currently Breen is the lead sports commentator for ABC Sports and also announced New York Knicks games on the MSG Network.
