About Michael Porter Jr.
Michael Porter is a forward for the Brooklyn Nets. Porter did enough during an injury-riddled freshman season at the University of Missouri to warrant consideration as one of the top players in the draft. Porter was injured in the first-half of the Tigers first game and did not return until the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. He also competed for Mizzou during the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Porter entered college out of Nathan Hale Senior High School as arguably the top player in his class. He averaged 36.2 points and 13.6 rebounds per game on a team that went 29-0 during his senior season. Porter was named a McDonald's All-American and Mr. Basketball USA in 2017. He was also the Gatorade National Player of the Year and the Naismith Prep Player of the Year.
