About Michael McDowell
Michael McDowell is a driver in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series for Levine Family Racing. McDowell has two top ten finishes in Sprint Cup and finished a career best seventh at the 2014 Coke Zero 400. He debuted on NASCAR’s top circuit in 2008 after running once in the Truck Series. With 19 top tens and a best finish of 13th in the season-ending standings in 2009, McDowell also has extensive experience on the Xfinity Series. His first foray into racing was on BMX bikes at age three. McDowell was a successful kart racer as a kid, winning the World Karting Association and back-to-back International Kart Federation titles. Transitioning over to open wheel racing, he would also capture Rookie of the Year awards in both the Star Mazda and ARCA Series.
