Brett Bodine Biography

Brett Bodine is a former NASCAR racer who had an 18 year career. Bodine started his professional career in 1985 by competing in the NASCAR Busch Series, one step below the main Winston Cup Series. As a rookie, Bodine compiled three poles, three wins, and seven top 5s. He would race full time in the Busch Series for two more years, compiling five wins and 52 top ten’s. In 1988, Bodine moved up to the Winston Cup Series with Bud Moore Engineering, racing a full time schedule in the #15 Crisco Thunderbird. Bodine finished the season 20th in points after posting five top ten finishes, and he raced for Bud Moore for the next two seasons. His best season came in 1990 with Kenny Bernstein’s racing team, winning his first and only race that season. Bodine had his best points finish that season, finishing 12th in the final standings. Bodine would officially from racing in 2003, and he currently works as the pace car driver for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
