Matt Vasgersian Biography

Matt Vasgersian is one of the top broadcasters in baseball. Vasgersian pulls double-duty as the play by play voice of ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball and a regular studio host for the MLB Network. He was an originally host for MLBN when it debuted in 2009  and has called games for the network. Vasgersian previously worked for FOX Sports calling NFL and MLB games. He has been involved in baseball in some form since a six-year broadcasting stint in the minor leagues that began in 1991. Vasgersian also did play-by-play on television for the Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres. Outside of baseball, he has broadcasted many other sports, including doing play-by-play for the original XFL on NBC in 2001.
