About Mats Zuccarello
Mats Zuccarello grew up in the Norwegianhockey system playing for Frisk. He then moved on to Modo Hockey in the Swedish Elite League. In his second year, he won the league Most Valuable Player award. Due to his standout play, Zuccarello signed a free agent contract with the New York Rangers. He became just the seventh Norwegian player to lace it up in the NHL when he debuted in 2010. Since, Zuccarello has become a consistent contributor to the Rangers. After a breakout season in which he scored 59 points, he helped New York reach the 2014 Stanley Cup Final. Zuccarello has represented Norway at three World Championships and two Olympics.
