About Marquis Grissom
Marquis Grissom is a former MLB player, best known for his time playing for the hometown Atlanta Braves. Grissom was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1965 and after playing baseball all his life, went on to play at Florida A&M University. In 1988, Grissom was selected as the 76th overall pick by the Montreal Expos.
Throughout his seventeen-year career in the MLB, Grissom played for six different teams, including the Expos,Atlanta Braves,Cleveland Indians,Milwaukee Brewers,Los Angeles Dodgers, andSan Francisco Giants. More importantly, he inspired many throughout that tenure as he won four Gold Glove Awards, was recognized as the American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player in 1997, and was a two-time All-Star.
