About Carlos Baerga
Carlos Baerga is a former second baseman for Major League Baseball. The San Diego Padres signed Baerga on November 4, 1985 when he was 16 years old. Shortly after, Baerga was traded to the San Diego Padres where he spent six years. Baerga helped the Indians make it to the World Series in 1994, where they fell to the Atlanta Braves in six games. Baerga was traded to the New York Mets on July 29, 2006, where he spent 2 seasons. In 1999, the St. Louis Cardinals signed Baerga, but he was released before the season began. He was soon signed with the Cincinnati Reds. Again, Baerga was released and the San Diego Padres placed him in the minor league for 21 games. In 2000, Baerga briefly signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, but he did not appear in the majors that year. He retired in 2001, and made a comeback in 2002. Since his return, Baerga has played for the Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Washington Nationals.
