Brady Anderson

Brady Anderson played in the big leagues for 14 seasons with the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Indians.  Anderson was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and signed a baseball scholarship with the University of California, Irvine after a stellar prep career at Carlsbad High School.  While playing for the Anteaters in college he was one of the top first baseman in the country, and earned a 10th round selection by the Orioles in the 1985 MLB Draft.  Anderson played three years in the minors with the Red Sox before making his big league debut in 1988.  After one season in Boston he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles, where he starred for 14 seasons.  Over that span of time he earned three All-Star selections and had a career year in 1996 in which he hit .297 with 50 homeruns, 37 doubles, 110 RBI and 117 runs scored.  Anderson retired with the Cleveland Indians in 2002 and was honored for his contributions to the Orioles franchise in 2004 with induction into the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.  In 2012 he was hired as the Baltimore Orioles special assistant to the executive vice president of baseball operations and was promoted to Vice President of Baseball Operations for the Orioles in 2013.
