About Marques Colston
Marques Colston is a wide receiver in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints, debuting professionally in 2006. Colston was born in 1983 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he grew up loving the sport of football and striving to be like his father who played in the Canadian Football League for a brief period of time. Colston graduated from high school with All-Conference honors and with a hole in his heart after losing his father at age 14. Colston was recruited by the Univeristy of Missouri but instead chose to attend Hofstra University. He was then selected in the 2006 NFL Draft and has since been playing for the Saints. Some of Colston’s most notable accomplishments as a professional athlete have been receiving the Ed Block Courage Award in 2013, setting the NFL record for the most receptions in a player’s first two seasons, and winning a Super Bowl championship against the Indianapolis Colts. In addition to playing, Colston is also currently the owner and president of the Harrisburg Stampede, an indoor football team based out of his hometown, and will be a minority owner for the Philadelphia Soul in 2015.
