About Mark Stone
Mark Stone is a right wing for the Las Vegas Golden Knights. The Ottawa Senators originally selected him in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He spent four years in junior hockey with the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings. During his tenure with the Wheat Kings, Stone was a two-time WHL Eastern Conference First All-Star Team selection. He won the Brad Hornung Trophy as the league's most sportsmanlike player in 2012. The following season, Stone made his debut in Ottawa. It was not until 2014 that he really made his impact felt with the Senators. He tied for the rookie lead in scoring with 64 points and was the NHL's leading scorer among all players after the All-Star break. Stone finished second in voting for the Calder Memorial Trophy. He also led the league in takeaways in both 2015 and 2016. Stone's strong play in Ottawa led to a place on Team Canada for the 2016 World Championships. The Canadians took home the gold and he registered ten points during the tournament.
