About Marco Scutaro
Marco Scutaro is a two-time World Series champion for the San Francisco Giants. In 2012, Scutaro hit .500 in the playoffs against the Cardinals and earned NLCS MVP. Following up his great postseason success, he was named a National League All-Star in 2013. Scutaro has been valued throughout his career for his ability to play multiple positions. He has been at every position on the field except for center field catcher, and pitcher. Scutaro really had his breakout season in 2009 with the Toronto Blue Jays, hitting .282 while drawing 90 walks. That led to a free agent deal and two successful campaigns with the Boston Red Sox. The Cleveland Indians originally signed Scutaro out of Venezuela in 1994, but it would take him seven seasons to debut in the MLB. The documentary “A Player To Be Named Later” followed Scutaro and others while he was in the Milwaukee Brewers minor league system. A native of Venezuela, he has competed for his country three times in the World Baseball Classic.
