Malcolm Brogdon was a top NBA star for nine seasons. After being a second-round pick of the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2016 NBA Draft, many did not expect Brogdon to blossom into the player he has become. He defied the odds and made history as the first second-round pick since 1966 to win NBA Rookie of the Year.
Brogdon averaged 10.2 points and 4.2 assists per game that first year. He also helped Milwaukee reach the playoffs in each of his three seasons with the franchise.
In 2019, Brogdon became just the eighth player to shoot over 50% from the field, 40% from three and 90% from the free-throw line. Brogdon went on to play for the Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers. He won NBA Sixth Man of the Year with the Celtics in 2023.
Brogdon spent all four years of college at the University of Virginia. He was a three-time All-ACC First Team pick and two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior, Brogdon was named the ACC Player of the Year and a consensus first-team All-American. His jersey is retired by the Cavaliers.
