Lucas Giolito is a starting pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. Giolito began his career with the Washington Nationals. The Nationals selected him in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft. Giolito made major waves in 2014, being named South Atlantic League Most Valuable Pitcher, Top Minor League Prospect and to the All-Star Futures Game. Giolito made his major league debut with the Nationals in 2016 and was traded to the White Sox during the offseason. He made major strides in 2019 and was named American League Pitcher of the Month in May.
