Lori Lindsey

Lori Lindsey earned Parade All-American and first team All-State honors in four consecutive years as a midfielder at Pike High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. After high school she signed to continue her soccer career at the University of Virginia and was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2000 and 2001. She finished her career in 2001 as the sixth all-time leading scorer in Cavaliers history with 33 goals and 76 points, and earned All-American honors in both 2000 and 2001. After earning her degree from UVA she was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2002 WUSA Draft by the San Diego Spirit. In 2003 she joined the Washington Freedom and went on to help them to a Founders Cup III Championships in 2003 and a W-League Championship in 2007. In 2010 she was selected No. 1 overall in the WPS Expansion Draft by the Philadelphia Independence and played two club seasons until joining the Western New York Flash in 2012. She’s since seen time with the Washington Spirit in the National Women’s Soccer League and joined the Australian team, Canberra United in 2013. Throughout her career she has starred on the US Women’s National team, making 31 international appearances for the USA since 2005.
