About Lorenzo Neal
Lorenzo Neal played in the National Football League for 16 seasons with the New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens and Oakland Raiders from 1993 to 2009. He got his start in pro football after being selected in the 4th round with the 89th overall pick by the New Orleans Saints in the 1993 NFL Draft out of Fresno State University. While at Fresno State he earned All-Big West honors in 1991 and 1992 and finished his career as the school’s second leading rusher all-time with 2,405 yards. After earning his degree in criminal justice he began his pro career in New Orleans and would go on to earn four Pro-Bowl selections and three NFL AllPro honors at the fullback position. In 2009 he retired with 807 rushing yards, 1,086 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in 239 games played, earning him a spot on the Sporting News 2000’s Team of the Decade and NFL 2000’s All-Decade Team.
