About Blair Walsh
Blair Walsh got his start when he played football in high school. As a placekicker, he made two field goals from 59 yards as a senior. That kind of work earned him being part of the All-USA First Team Offense and was credited as a top 5 kicker in the nation by ESPN. In college playing for the University of Georgia he was a standout player including making four field goals in a game three separate times. In 2012 he entered the NFL Draft and was selected by the Minnesota Vikings. In his first season he was selected to the Pro Bowl and was a first team All-Pro. Walsh holds several NFL records including making the most field goals of 50 yards or more in a season and highest field goal percentage in a season by a rookie. It was those numbers that contributed to him also winning the PFW Golden Toe Award.
