About Linc Darner
Linc Darner has made the most of getting his first chance to be a head coach on the Division 1 level. In his first season with Green Bay, he went 23-13. The Phoenix won the Horizon League Tournamentand received an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Prior to arriving at Green Bay, Darner made Florida Southern into one of the best Division II programs in the country. His success culminated with the Mocs winning the Division II National Championship in 2015. Darner was also named NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year. Florida Southern made the DII Tournament in eight of his nine seasons with the program. He was a six-time Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year. Darner got his first head coaching opportunity with Division II Saint Joseph's. They won the Great Lakes Valley Conference in his final season. Before getting a shot as a head coach, Darner had stops as an assistant at Ashland, Lincoln Memorial, and Murray State. His coaching career started as a student assistant under Gene Keady at his alma mater, Purdue. Darner also played basketball at the school and as a senior captain led the Boilermakers to the Elite Eight in 1994.
