Leslie Frazier

Leslie Frazier played his college football at Alcorn State University and signed with the Chicago Bears in 1981 as an amateur free agent. He’d go on to play four years in the NFL with the Bears and lead them to a Super Bowl title in 1985 while leading the team with six interceptions. Frazier left the NFL after the 1985 season to pursue a career in coaching and was hired as the head coach at Trinity International University in 1988. During his nine seasons at Trinity International he led his teams to two Northern Illinois Intercollegiate Conference titles, which set the stage for him to be hired as the defensive backs coach at the University of Illinois in 1997. In 1999 he returned to the NFL as the defensive backs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles and then landed the defensive coordinator position with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2003. After the 2004 season the Colts hired him as a defensive assistant and then promoted him to assistant head coach in 2006. Upon signing on as the defensive coordinator with the Minnesota Vikings in 2007 he was promoted to Assistant Head Coach in 2008 and then named head coach in 2010. During his four seasons at the helm with the Vikings he led his team to a 21 wins including a 10-6 season and a playoff appearance in 2012. After the 2013 season he was hired as the defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
