About Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a guard for the Memphis Grizzlies. The Detroit Pistons originally made Caldwell-Pope the eighth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.During his first four seasons in Detroit, he became a reliable scoring threat.
Caldwell-Pope subsequently joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017 and helped them win the NBA Championship in 2020. He won a second title with the Denver Nuggets in 2023.
While in college at Georgia, he made an impression on the entire country.Caldwell-Pope was the SEC Player of the Year as a sophomore, averaging 18.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He was also selected to the All-SEC first team in 2013 and made the All-Freshman team the previous year.
The Thomaston, Georgia native went to Greenville High School and was a McDonald’s All-American. Rivals.com ranked Caldwell-Pope as the 12th best prospect in the country coming out of high school.
