About Kenny Walker
Kenny Walker had a ten-year professional basketball career in the NBA and overseas. Walker is mostly remembered for his time with the New York Knicks after being the fifth overall pick in the 1986 NBA Draft. “Sky” Walker was known as a high-flyer and won the 1989 Slam Dunk Contest. He also played professionally in Spain, Italy, Japan, and for the Washington Bullets. Where Walker’s legacy truly lives on is at the University of Kentucky. His #34 jersey hangs in the rafters at Rupp Arena. Walker was the two-time SEC Player of the Year and a consensus first-team All-American as a senior. He is the second on the Kentucky career scoring charts and made the All-SEC team all four years. In retirement, Walkerhas been a radio host back in Lexington.
