About Kendall Gill
Kendall Gill had a 15 year NBA career that saw him suit up for seven different teams. The Charlotte Hornets originally selected him with the fifth pick in 1990. Gill was an early star, being named a first-team All-Rookie and averaging over 20 points a game in his second season. He also found his way into the Slam Dunk Contest. Gill experienced success with the New Jersey Nets as well and in his first full season with the club, he averaged 21.8 points per game. In his third year with the Nets, he led the NBA in steals per game. Gill was always a consistent source of offense for his teams and retired with nearly 13,000 points. Playing collegiately at Illinois, he led the Big Ten in scoring during his senior year. Gill currently serves as an analyst for NBA TV and the Chicago native has also worked on Comcast SportsNet Chicago’s coverage of the Bulls in the past. He also briefly pursued a professional boxing career following his retirement.
