Kaka

Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, known as Kaka, began playing soccer at the age of seven in his home country of Brazil. As a youngster, he played for several local youth clubs before joining Sao Paulo at the age of eight. At the age of fifteen, he signed a contract with Sao Paulo and would go on to score 23 goals in 59 appearances with the team from 2001 to 2003. In 2001 he also joined the Brazil U-20 National Team and landed a spot on the premier National Team in 2002. As a club player, he joined Milan from 2003 to 2009 and scored 70 goals in 193 appearances. From 2009 to 2013 he scored 23 goals in 85 appearances with Real Madrid, and then rejoined Milan in 2013-14. He went on to become the first star for the MLS expansion side Orlando City before retiring from the sport.

With the Brazil National Team he has made 89 international appearances and scored 29 goals as an attacking midfielder. His career honors include being named the FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007 and UEFA Club Footballer of the Year in 2006-07.
