About Radamel Falcao
Radamel Falcao, born as Radamel Falcao Garcia Zarate but most commonly referred to simply as Falcao, is a Colombian soccer player whom has been playing professionally since 1999. Falcao was born in Santa Maria, Colombia in 1986 to father Radamel Garcia, former professional defender in Colombia and Venezuela. Following in his father’s footsteps, Falcao had mastered the game by the young age of 5 and went on to play his youth career on club team Lanceros Boyaca. He then played with a handful of other teams over the years, including River Plate for eight years, Porto for two, Atletico Madrid for two and AS Monaco. Falcao is currently on loan from AS Monaco and plays striker for Manchester United while representing a number 9 jersey. He is also a member of Colombia’s national team, having made his full international debut for Colombia in 2007. Falcao is known for scoring over 100 goals in his first three seasons playing European football. He is widely considered to be one of the best strikers in international football today.
