About Arsene Wenger
Arsène Wenger remains a transformative football figure who gained worldwide recognition through his influential 22-year tenure as Arsenal Football Club manager. Wenger developed his deep football understanding from his first days as a player. His modest playing career led him to begin coaching in French leagues before he managed Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan where his fresh concepts and international approach started forming.
Wenger became Arsenal's manager in 1996 when he made history by becoming the first foreign manager in the club's history. During his 22-year tenure Wenger transformed English football through his nutritional strategies combined with fitness approaches and technical skill development. Wenger led Arsenal to win three Premier League titles together with seven FA Cups while achieving the unmatched Premier League record of an undefeated season during 2003–04. His "Invincibles" team stands as one of the greatest football formations in history.
The influence Wenger made in football reached beyond his work on the field. Through international scouting and player development Wenger played a key role in internationalizing the Premier League by bringing top international players to England. Wenger transformed English club management by focusing on attacking play and intelligent and professional football which established new standards for modern club leadership.
After leaving Arsenal in 2018 Wenger became FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development where he continues to work in the sport. In this position he has supported innovative approaches to youth development and coaching education as well as worldwide football expansion. Through his writing and public speaking Wenger shares his deep knowledge about leadership and strategic development and football's future trajectory.
