Juancho Hermangomez Biography

Juancho Hermangomez already had notoriety as a veteran NBA contributor for several teams, but his celebrity status took a new leap when he was cast alongside Adam Sandler in "Hustle." Hermangomez did not have to take too many creative liberties in the Netflix film to play the character that is a raw, but talented Spanish basketball prodigy. He was originally born in Madrid and won the Best Young Player Award in Liga ACB in 2016. Hermangomez has also represented Spain internationally, including helping them win the 2019 World Cup.

After flashing his skills overseas, Hermangomez was selected in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. He spent his first four seasons with the Nuggets as a reliable player off the bench. Hermangomez became a starter with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2019. He has gone on to play for several other franchises.
