About Josh Reddick
Josh Reddick is a Guyton, Georgia native and earned All-American honors at Middle Georgia College before being selected in the 17th round of the 2006 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox. Over the next three seasons he made his march up the minor league ladder and earned a call-up to the big leagues in 2009. During his rookie season he was a solid contributor in tight situations, serving as a defensive replacement, pinch hitter and pinch runner, providing speed for his team as they pursued an American League pennant. In 2011 he had a breakout season with the Red Sox, hitting .280 with seven homeruns and 28 RBI in 87 games. The following year he established himself as a solid, everyday major league outfielder with the Oakland Athletics. In 156 games in 2012 he launched 32 homeruns and drove in 85 runs while also scoring 85 runs in route to earning his first Gold Glove in centerfield and finishing 16th in the American League MVP voting.
