About Jordan Schafer
Jordan Schafer grew up in sunny Winter Haven, Florida and was drafted in the third round of the 2005 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves. Upon joining the Braves organization he became one of their top outfield and pitching prospects. However, he eventually settled on being a position player and has flourished as a top of the line-up hitter. In 2009 he made his MLB debut with the Braves and showcased his unique combination of speed and defensive ability in centerfield. Since that time he’s seen time in the big leagues with the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves before signing with the Minnesota Twins in 2014. Thus far in his young MLB career he has posted a .229 career average with 12 homeruns and an impressive 103 stolen bases in 436 games. He is known for his aggressiveness on the bases and instincts in the outfield, and serves as a spark plug for his team at the top of the lineup.
