Jonny Flynn

Jonny Flynn grew up in Nigagra Falls, New York with the dream of playing college basketball for the Syracuse Orange, and in 2007 he made that dream come true. While in high school he earned McDonald’s All-American honors in 2007 and was named to the 2007 USA Basketball Junior National Select Team after averaging 26.7 points and 6 assists as a senior at Niagra Falls High School. He headed to Syracuse as the New York State Mr. Basketball and delivered with a big-time debut, breaking the school record with 28 points in his first game. He’d go on to earn Big East Rookie of the Year honors after averaging 15.7 points per game as a freshman. During his career at Syracuse he would go down as one of the school’s most prolific scorers and respected leaders. In 2009 he was selected in the 1st round as the 6th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves and earned NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors in 2010. After one season in Minnesota he made his way to Houston and earned NBA All-Star honors while playing for the Rockets. Since that time he has taken his talents overseas to Australia and currently plays for Orlandina Basket in Italy.
