Jonathan Schoop Biography

Jonathan Schoop is a second baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers. He was originally signed by the Orioles as an international free agent in 2008. Schoop was named to the MLB All-Star Futures Game in 2011. He also won the Brooks Robinson Minor League Player of the Year as the top player in Baltimore's system. Schoop made his major league debut late in the 2013 season. He became a consistent offensive threat at his position and helped the Orioles make the playoffs twice in his first four seasons. Schoop became an All-Star for the first time in 2017.
