About John Wallace
John Wallace graduated from Greece Athena High School in 1992 and played his college basketball at Syracuse University from 1992 to 1996. During that span he starred for the Orange and earned Consensus second team All-American honors in 1996. In the 1996 NBA Draft he was selected in the first round with the 18th overall pick by the New York Knicks. He went on to play eight seasons in the NBA with the Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat from 1996 to 2004, while also seeing time in Greece and Italy during that time. In 1998 he posted career highs with 14 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while playing for the Raptors. He retired in 2005 as a member of the Snaidero Udine in Italy. Since that time he has become an executive board member of Heavenly Productions Foundation, which is a non-profit organization based in New York with the mission to help needy and distressed children.
