About John Wall
The Washington Wizards selected John Wall with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and he embarked on a decade of excellence with the franchise. Wall was named to five straight All-Star teams from 2014-18. His best year was 2016-17 when he averaged 23.1 points and 10.7 assists per game on the way to All-NBA Team honors. After injuries hampered him, Wall was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2020. He joined the Los Angeles Clippers in 2022 and then was traded back to the Rockets.
Before his NBA career, Wall was a standout at the University of Kentucky. He earned SEC Player of the Year and consensus first-team All-American honors in 2010 after averaging 16.6 points and 6.5 assists per game for the Wildcats. He was also awarded the Adolph Rupp Trophy, which is presented to the top college player in the country.
