About John Buccigross
John Buccigross has been making a lasting impression on ESPN viewers since joining the network in 1996. Buccigross is an anchor on SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight. He often anchors the 11 p.m. weeknight show, also known as the premier SportsCenter slot. His first ESPN job was with ESPNEWS as one of that network’s first on-air hires. Buccigross is a known hockey enthusiast and was host of NHL2Night from 1998-2004. ESPN no longer carries NHL hockey, but he still serves as the play-by-play man for the NCAA Frozen Four Championship. Buccigross’ career began in Providence Rhode Island and Cape 11 News in Massachusetts. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Heidelberg College. In 2007, Buccigross released the biography of former NHL player Keith Jones, “Put Your Head Down And Skate: The Improbable NHL Career of Keith Jones.” He is one of the most engaging sports broadcasters on Twitter and his hashtags are enjoyed by many.
