About John Brady
John Brady is the current head basketball coach at Arkansas State. Brady has won two Sun Belt western division titles and posted four seasons of 17 or more wins with the Red Wolves. Prior to his time at ASU, he had a successful 11-year run as the head coach at LSU. The Tigers went to their fourth Final Four in program history in 2006. Overall, Brady coached them to four NCAA Tournaments and two SEC Championships. He went 184-126 in his LSU career and coached future NBA players like Glen Davis, Tyrus Thomas, and Stromile Swift. Brady got his head coaching start at Samford and when he left for Baton Rouge, he was the school’s all-time wins leader. He got most of his early recognition in coaching as an assistant at Mississippi State, but was also a successful high school coach in Mississippi. The McComb, Mississippi native played at Belhaven College.
