About Jim Harrick
Jim Harrick went 470-235 over a 23-year career as a college basketball head coach with four different schools. Harrick took his teams to the NCAA Tournament 16 times and won a championship with UCLA in 1995. Returning the Bruins to their former glory won him the 1995 Naismith College Coach of the Year. Harrick has the third-most wins of any coach in UCLA history. Following his time in Los Angeles, he took over at Rhode Island and went to two NCAA Tournaments. He recruited future NBA All-Star Lamar Odom and the Rams won their first Atlantic-10 Championship. In his final college head coaching post, Harrick took Georgia to two NCAA Tournaments in four seasons. He had great success early in his career as the head coach at Pepperdine. His coaching career began at Morningside High School and continued with assistant jobs at Utah State and UCLA. In recent years, Harrick has been a college basketball analyst for Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket.
