Jamal Anderson

Jamal Anderson is a former running back in the National Football League, who wore number 32 for the Atlanta Falcons. Anderson was born in Newark, New Jersey in the early 1970’s. He went on to excel in the sport of football at El Camino Real High School, where he was named to the CIF Los Angeles City Section 4-A All-City first team in 1989. Prior to debuting professionally, Anderson played college football both at Moorpark College and the University of Utah. In the 1994 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Atlanta Falcons and played the entirety of his career with them from 1994 to 2001. Before a career-ending knee injury hindered his chances of ever playing professional football again, Anderson was a Pro Bowl selection in 1998, the NFC rushing leader, a Pro Football Weekly First-team All-NFC and an AP First-team All-Pro. He scored over 40 touchdowns and amassed an outstanding 5,336 rushing yards throughout his career. After being forced to retire, Anderson appeared as an analysis on the ESPN, ABC, and CNN networks, frequently promoting his alma mater and providing insight on current NFL issues. He continues to provide insight on how to move on from a career-ending injury and continue to follow your passions in life.
