About Jacoby Brissett
Jacoby Brissett is back with his original NFL team, the New England Patriots. Brissett spent his rookie 2016 season with the Patriots before joining the Indianapolis Colts as a spot starter for four seasons.
The Patriots originally selected him in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Brissett was forced into action during his rookie season due to starter Tom Brady’s suspension and an injury to Jimmy Garoppolo. He debuted in week two of the season and went 6-9 for 92 yards. He made two more starts before Brady returned to action. Despite not playing the rest of that season, Brissett played an important early-season role for a team that went on to win Super Bowl LI.
Brissett was traded to the Indianapolis Colts that offseason and again had to step in as a starter when Andrew Luck got hurt. In 15 starts, he threw for over 3,000 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Brissett split his college career between the University of Florida and North Carolina State University. He made appearances in 13 games at Florida before transferring to NC State. Brissett spent two year starting for the Wolfpack, throwing for at least 2,600 yards and 20 touchdowns each season.
