About Homer Bailey
Homer Bailey is an MLB pitcher who currently pitches for the Minnesota Twins. In high school, Bailey was an All-USA player, winning High School Player of the Year award in 2004 after finishing his high school career with 41 wins and four losses. In the 2004 MLB Draft, the Cincinnati Reds selected Bailey with the seventh overall pick, and he would spend three seasons in their minor league system. Bailey would make his MLB debut in June 2008 in a game against the Cleveland Indians, earning a win after throwing five innings and allowing two runs. After spending time between the Reds and their Triple A affiliate for the next few seasons, eventually cracking the starting lineup in 2010. Bailey rose to prominence in 2012 when he threw the first Reds’ no-hitter in over 20 years, and again throwing another one the next season against the San Francisco Giants. Bailey pitched for the Reds before signing with the Royals in 2019. He finished that campaign with the Oakland A's and then signed with the Minnesota Twins in the offseason.
