About Gian Paul Gonzalez
Gian-Paul Gonzalez was an All-American forward at Montclair State University scoring nearly 1,400 points in his 3-year career. In 2008 he was offered several lucrative professional basketball contracts after a solid performance in the LA Clippers Summer League, but turned them down to continue his work with at-risk youth in New Jersey. Since then heâs become a highly sought after motivational speaker, traveling the country delivering speeches and getting results. In 2011 his reputation as a speaker came to the attention of the New York Giants, who invited Gonzalez, who is now a high school teacher in Union City, New Jersey, to lead a chapel service for their team the night before their Christmas Eve matchup against the New York Jets. It was at that time that he delivered the famous âAll Inâ speech that inspired the Giants to beat the Jets and every game after that as they marched to a victory in Super Bowl XLVI. For his work with at-risk youth in New Jersey he was awarded the 2012 New Jersey Hero Award.
