About George Hill
George Hill is a point guard for the Indiana Pacers who has been a standout for several NBA playoff teams. As a child, Hill admired Michael Jordan and he dreamed of being a professional basketball player. Hill received many basketball scholarships from multiple big conference schools including Temple and Indiana, but he chose to commit to IUPUI. As a sophomore, Hill led the IUPUI Jaguars to a tie for the best conference record. Hill was redshirted his junior year following an injury and he returned as a senior. With one year of eligibility left, Hill wanted to test the waters and declared himself eligible for the 2008 NBA Draft. The San Antonio Spurs selected Hill in the 1st round as the 26th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Hill made his debut with the Spurs in the third game of the 2008-09 season against the Dallas Mavericks. On June 23, 2011, the Spurs traded Hill to Indiana for their 15th overall draft pick Kawhi Leonard. Hill resigned with the Pacers on July 13, 2012 for a 5-year, $40 million contract.
