About Eric Bledsoe
A highly touted recruit coming out of high school, Eric Bledsoe chose to accept a scholarship to play college basketball for John Calipari at the University of Kentucky. Bledsoe spent one year with the Wildcats, averaging 11.3 ppg and helping the team to a 35-3 record alongside point guard John Wall. After his only season with UK, Bledsoe declared his eligibility for the 2010 NBA Draft and was selected 18th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who quickly traded the guard to the Los Angeles Clippers. Bledsoe played significant minutes as a rookie but began a role as a backup when the Clippers acquired All-Star Chris Paul. Bledsoe made the most of his playing time and earned a spot in the 2013 All-Star Games Slam Dunk Contest. Bledsoe was traded to the Phoenix Suns in 2013. He became a star in Phoenix, twice averaging over 20 points per game in a season.
